Claire Wallman Statement

Working in the fashion industry I get to work in many amazing locations, and work with my amazing props and items I wouldn’t normally get to indulge in my self. One of these items are beautiful bouquets of florals. So much in this day and age, is used for a single moment and purchase, and then discarded.

The fast fashion industry is a huge contributor to this one time use. My love for beauty in the fashion industry but also nature, I couldn’t let these beautiful props just have one lease on life. So at the end of each shoot, I wanted to give these blooms a second life, a lasting frame.

Sometimes they were wilted and withered after a long day of shooting, sometimes they were still in their pristine form, and just calling for someone to take their photo. These photos are raw and real.

I find beauty these days in the imperfect. Nothing in life is perfect. Why should a single flower be, a single body standing in front of the camera.
Be the imperfect perfection you are.
